Unboxing CTC-The 3D Printer
The CTC 3D printer what you get is very well packed and delivered in a heavy-duty cardboard box. The extruder is in a plastic bag within the device not assembled.
In another bag are small parts, such as screws, nuts and tools, etc. as well as a role filament. For me, red PLA filament was delivered. A USB cable, power cable, 4GB SD card and a small installation guide are also included.
What you get
After unpacking the initial box it’s shipping in you will find bolts and pieces of cardboard to remove inside the 3d printer.
The case screws are slightly tightened or just catching, but because the nuts go into soft wood (MDF). The extruder unit needs to be mounted to the x-axis carriage with 2 bolts and washers. The appropriate bolts you have to look out of the bag via the assembly manual. The heater bed is covered with Kapton tape and blue masking tape both was removed due to not being applied properly. This should not be removed first time but mine was unusable. Finally, install the two Filament holders and 2 black tubes to assemble for the filament guide. in some cases, the black filament tubes are missing these don’t matter as they need to be upgraded anyway
Once a suitable home has been found mine is in the airing cupboard to keep warm and limit drafts, connect the power cord to the device and check the power is on.
The device is now switched on via the power switch on the back.
The printer signals to the display as ” The Creator “.
Now the heat-bed must be calibrated to use first. For this purpose first the located below the printing plate wingnuts tighten to lower the bed and increase the distance from the nozzle and thus to avoid a collision.
Now the print menu under Utilities – Leveling Heat-bed Select this option.
The nozzles are now driving in succession from the longitudinal sides of the printing bed.
As adjustment gauge is simply a piece of paper (about 0.1 mm) was used.
The pressure bed is now adjusted to the distance of the right nozzle at all points of the printing plate is equal to or the sheet of paper just so fit between nozzle and pressure bed. For a perfect result, the process has to be repeated several times. At first, I would only recommend using the right extruder as you need to calibrate the two nozzles.
The preheating can be found in the menu under Preheat once selected. The exact levels of heat for the print plate is a long process and requires patience but is very important to get right. The left nozzle is mounted slightly higher than the right nozzle. At first, I wouldn’t change this since at the beginning you will only need the right nozzle to print. I will discuss the use of both nozzles separately.
After successful levels, the filament is loaded to the right extruder. For this you need to, fit the filament spool to the back onto the holder and push the filament through the guide to the extruders inlet and allow the filament to extrude though. Now on the menu go to Load filament. and select the load right this heats up and when the desired temperature is reached, introduce the filament from the top down. The filament is drawn in and exits from the nozzle. The process can be terminated once it starts to extrude filament.

The printer is now ready for the first printing.
The printer comes with a cube.x3g file on the sd card to see if all is working right.
The first test print
Now that the printer is set up.
We can print the cube.x3g, depending on the material used, PLA 20mm Calibration or ABS 20mm Calibration Select. As the printer comes with PLA this is what I used.
The printer starts by heating up the printer bed if used and then hests up the extruder once warmed the printer goes to work building up the layers of your box, the result can be quite impressive.

Problems and Solutions
The printer does bring some constructive deficiencies problems when printing with it. This can, however, easily and inexpensively eliminate.
